Evergreen City Ballet offers classes in Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, Beginning Jazz, Ballet III, Ballet IV, Ballet V, and Ballet VI. Students can also take classes in ballet, pointe, variations, partnering, contemporary, modern, jazz, choreography, improvisation, and hip-hop.

Evergreen City Ballet was established in 1994, received its non-profit status in 1995, and is celebrating 30 years of excellence in dance. It is a pre-professional ballet school and performing company with a Performance Division that has a demanding training and performance schedule, and it also offers a Children’s Program and School Division. The program provides affordable, high-quality dance education to students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds with age-appropriate dance instruction and discipline, and offers family-friendly and professional-level performance opportunities. The long-term vision is to be a nationally recognized, premier, pre-professional ballet school with a studio company.
Each instructor is carefully selected by the Artistic Director, and past guest faculty have included professional dancers from numerous major ballet companies and dance organizations. Founding Artistic Director Wade Walthall led the program from 1994 to 2008, and the current Artistic Director is Bennyroyce Royon. Ballet technique classes from Level IV and up include live piano accompaniment. Some graduates have gone on to study at The Juilliard School, University of Washington, and University of Oregon, and alumni have had professional careers with major ballet companies, The Metropolitan Opera Ballet, and on Broadway.
Evergreen City Ballet’s mission is to provide high quality dance education and performance opportunities to students of all ages and to enrich the diverse communities in the Puget Sound region through performances, outreach, and community engagement initiatives.
