Hamlin Robinson School is an independent school in Seattle specializing in educating students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences, with a comprehensive academic program grounded in a multisensory language approach for students in grades 1–8. At Hamlin Robinson School, students are accepted at their instructional level, allowing them to progress at a pace that meets their individual needs. The HRS Learning Center serves as an educational hub that delivers services and resources to students, families, and educators both locally and nationwide, and its programs and services are open to everyone, not just those enrolled at HRS. The Learning Center offers parent education workshops, educational tools and resources for neurodiverse learners and their families, an HRS Speaker Series, and year-round training opportunities for teachers, tutors, and other educational professionals, especially those who work with students who have dyslexia or other language-based learning differences. The HRS Learning Center hosts and shares community events, including the HRS Speaker Series, and provides rentable event venue spaces with technology capable of reaching and teaching a national audience. Community involvement includes partnerships with the Slingerland® Literacy Institute and Wired for Reading®. The school was founded in 1983, and 100% of language arts teachers are trained in multisensory instruction.
