About

Northwest Seattle Little League offers Tee-Ball and Coach-Pitch Divisions, Baseball AA, AAA, Majors, Juniors, and Seniors League, plus Girls Softball. The baseball program includes instructional kid-pitch, intermediate baseball, 60-foot baseball, and 90-foot baseball divisions, and the softball program includes coach pitch or machine pitch, players pitching, and competitive games.

Programs

  • Tee-Ball & Coach-Pitch Divisions — League ages 4-7
  • Baseball AA Division (89ers) — 8 & 9 year olds; must be age 8 by September 1 · Two to three events per week; typically two games and one practice · Entry level Kid Pitch instructional baseball division; played like real baseball in a non-competitive, instructional setting
  • Baseball AAA Division — 10-11 year olds · Three to four events per week; typically 2 games and 2 practices · Intermediate level instructional baseball division for boys and girls
  • Baseball Majors Division — 12 year olds; 11 year olds may request to play up · Three to four events per week; typically 3 games and 1 practice · Little League division; the most competitive 60' division for boys and girls
  • Baseball Juniors Division — 13-14 year olds · 90 foot baseball
  • Baseball Seniors League — 15-16 year olds · 90 foot baseball
  • Girls Softball — League ages 4-16
  • Softball A (Formerly 78er) — First and second grades; league age 6 players should have at least one year of Tee Ball experience · Typically two events per week · Coach pitch or machine pitch; focuses primarily on skill development within a structured game play setting
  • Softball AA — Third grade; fourth graders who are league age 9 may play AA · Typically two events per week · Designed to fill the developmental, skill and competitive gap between AAA and A; pitching may include players pitching and machine pitch
  • Softball AAA — Fourth and fifth graders · Typically three events per week · Continues skill development of the lower divisions and transitions to truly competitive games
  • Softball Majors — Sixth and seventh graders · Typically three events per week · Encourages a higher level of skill to achieve more competitive levels
  • Softball Juniors — Eight and ninth graders; league age 13 and 14 · Competitive games may include double-headers on weekends

  • General schedule: Baseball season starts in early March and lasts until early June. Softball regular spring season includes inter-league games and a playoff tournament. Summer Ball is available. Winter Training is offered for players league age 8-11.

Founded in 1959, Northwest Seattle Little League serves players from Broadview, Bitter Lake, Haller Lake, Crown Hill, North Beach, Blue Ridge, Greenwood, Loyal Heights, and Whittier Heights. The organization works with other Seattle Little Leagues to create inter-league games and a playoff tournament for girls softball.
