Seattle Japanese Language School offers youth classes in Japanese language for students ages 6 to 18. The classes are held in person, are divided by age and language proficiency, and each class is limited to 10 students. Homework and final exams are required.

- Seattle Japanese Language School Youth Classes — 6-18 years old · Saturdays, 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM · $485 per session · Classes are conducted in person. Classes are divided by the student’s age and language proficiency. Each class is limited to 10 students. There is a $25 late fee for late registration.
- Seattle Japanese Language School Adult Classes — Adults · Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 6:45 PM - 8:45 PM; Saturdays, 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM · Adult classes are held online. Saturday classes may not be available every quarter.
- Tutoring — Individualized, one-on-one support for student learning and academic improvement.
- JLPT Preparation Online Courses — At least 18 years old; students 16 years old or older may be accepted for online adult classes with parent or guardian consent · Private lessons by request · Semi-private and private lessons for JLPT N4 and N3. Up to 8 students per class. Tuition depends on the number of students.

- General schedule: Youth classes meet Saturday mornings from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM with recess. The regular youth program annually starts from September. It has two semesters in the school year.
About the provider
The school was founded in 1902 and is described as the oldest operating Japanese language school in the continental United States. Its mission is to give instruction in the Japanese language, along with the introduction of Japanese culture and history, and to enhance the learning process.
Youth classes are in person. Adult classes are online. Classes are divided by age and language proficiency. Each youth class is limited to 10 students. There is a $25 late fee for late registration. Refund policy: 100% refund minus a $10 canceling fee up to 6 days before the first day of the semester; no refund after that, with some exceptions for extenuating circumstances. Homework and final exams are required, and attendance and good citizenship are highly valued.
