About
West Seattle Art Nest offers hands-on artmaking that includes forest-creature sculptures, nature prints, watercolor landscapes, painting, and building. All programming is conducted outdoors in the Magic Art Tent. Sessions are offered by registration only.
• Ages: 1–12 years old
• Schedule: Daytime sessions Monday–Friday with additional availability for birthday parties and private events in the afternoon and on weekends
For nearly a decade, West Seattle Art Nest has grown alongside its community. The program is led by Mary and The Art Nest Team. Its mission states that every child is an artist and describes a creative space designed to inspire, motivate, and encourage young artists, with an emphasis on creativity, community, and play. The program focuses on nurturing connection, confidence, and curiosity through art and offers process-based creativity and joyful mess-making to students twice a week. Alongside seasonal camps, West Seattle Art Nest also offers after-school enrichment at Gatewood Elementary in collaboration with Ms. Rachel, the school’s art teacher.
