FootLites Dance Studio

FootLites Dance Studio offers Ballet and Tap Combo, Hippety Hop, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tumbling, Lyrical/Contemporary, Tricks Turns & Leaps, Musical Theatre, Acro, Ballet Classes, Ballet Tech, Strength & Flex, Pre-Pointe and Pointe, Adult Tap, Adult Hip Hop, Dance Explosion competition teams, and Dance Explosion Tech. Recreational dance classes are offered for boys and girls ages 3 through adult, and boys are welcome to take any of the classes offered.

• Ballet Classes, Ballet Tech — 3rd-12th grade
• Strength & Flex — 7-18 years old
• Pre-Pointe and Pointe — 12 years old and up · Requires teacher approval; must be enrolled in an additional 1 hour ballet class.
• Adult Tap — 18 years old and up · Currently unavailable.
• Adult Hip Hop — 18 years old and up · Currently unavailable.
• Dance Explosion competition teams — Competition teams; includes multiple teams.
• Dance Explosion Tech — Class requirement for DE Competitive Team Members; focuses on Jazz Technique, Strengthening, and Tricks.

About the provider

FootLites Dance Studio was founded in 1992 by Mary Jill Rodgers and is described as the first professional dance studio established in Selah, Washington. The studio directors are Mary Jill Rodgers and Mandi Case. Its stated goal is to help dancers gain self confidence, promote teamwork, and overall good character. Dance Explosion, started in 2002 by Mandi Case, has won awards including Best Showmanship, Best Choreography, Outstanding Costumes, Best in Style, championships, and Overall Grand Championships.

Boys are welcome to take any of the classes offered. Depending on male enrollment, boys may be in an all-boys class or intermixed with the girls. Adult Tap and Adult Hip Hop are currently unavailable. Summer hours vary; office says to call. Starting September 12th, office hours are Monday-Thursday 2:30-9:00 pm and Friday 2:30-6:30 pm.
