NATIVE Project Youth Programs includes Mentoring & Youth Leadership, the NATIVE Youth Leadership Camp, the NATIVE Youth Summer Program, the Indian Youth Summer Program, and Back 2 School, Back 2 Health. The NATIVE Youth Leadership Camp includes prevention, cultural, and traditional activities. The NATIVE Youth Summer Program runs Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for four weeks during the school summer break, and the Indian Youth Summer Program runs July 6, 2026 through July 31, 2026 for youth entering 1st grade for the following school year.

  • Indian Youth Summer Program — youth must be entering 1st grade for that following school year · July 6, 2026 through July 31, 2026 · Held in the West Central Community of Spokane; hosted by The NATIVE Project, Spokane School District 81, and Title 7 Indian Education
  • Back 2 School, Back 2 Health — grades k-12 · Annual event before the school year begins

About the provider

The NATIVE Youth Leadership Camp started in 1987. Mentoring and community building are an ongoing tradition in the Spokane area. The mission statement says the program provides services and activities for area children and youth patients at the facility and in the community.

Space is limited for the NATIVE Youth Leadership Camp. The application window closes on Thursday, April 2nd, 2026, and applications after that date are added to a waitlist if space becomes available. Registration is now closed. For the 2026 NATIVE Youth Summer Program, applicants must be established and current patients and have been seen prior to the 2026 NYSP applications registration release of June 2, 2026. Registration closed as of Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Standby for confirmation.
