Plum Tree School

Plum Tree School is a small, home-based care and education program for young children and their families. It offers a morning program from 8:15 to 11:45 and an afternoon program from 12:45 to 4:15, and it includes mindfulness activities throughout the day along with free, unstructured play indoors and outdoors. The school also offers Little Kid Camps for ages 3-6 and Big Kid Camps for ages 7-9, with camp sessions listed as "Rainbow Treasure Hunt," "A Bug's Life," "Fairies & Friends," "Dragon Tales," "Hidden World of Gnomes," "As I See It," "Drum & Dance," and "Nature Week."

Programs

• Little Kid Camps — 3-6 years old · $200 per session · Camps are 8:30-12:30. Tuition includes a $20 supply fee. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required for each camp registration, and the remaining $100 is due by the first day of camp.
• Big Kid Camps — 7-9 years old · $175 per session · Camps are 1:30-5 pm. Tuition includes a $20 supply fee. A $75 non-refundable deposit is required for each camp registration, and the remaining $100 is due by the first day of camp.
• Morning Program — Minimum age 3 · Monday-Friday; Monday, Wednesday, Friday; Tuesday, Thursday · $285–$701 per month · 8:15 -11:45
• Afternoon Program — Minimum age 3 · Monday-Friday; Monday, Wednesday, Friday; Tuesday, Thursday · $285–$701 per month · 12:45 - 4:15

About the provider

Melanie Luedders is the Director of Plum Tree School and the Director of Plum Tree Center for Mindfulness. Phaedra Jarrett is Administrator/Teacher, and Heidi Montez, Jayme Almanza, Kelsey Bickel, and Josie Barbe are teachers. The school’s mission is to nurture and sustain warm, consistent, and long-lasting relationships between children, parents, and teachers. It also offers regular family gathering experiences and seasonal celebrations to build a sense of community.

Practices mindfulness activities throughout the day. Offers free, unstructured play in indoor and outdoor environments. Promotes consistent communication with each child's family through daily conversation, family gatherings, and conferences about growth and learning. Enrollment forms, including a Certificate of Immunizations, must be completed before the first day of attendance.
