Spokane HOPE offers a Birth-to-3 Program with early LSL/ASL intervention services at home or at the center, plus hands-on training for hearing aids, cochlear implants, and BAHA. It also offers a Toddler Program with weekly play activities, a Preschool / Pre-K Program, a Music Program for deaf and hard-of-hearing children, and Parent Connection and Parent Nights for families.

About the provider

Spokane HOPE was founded in 2004 and is the only listening and spoken language (LSL) provider in the Eastern Washington community. Its staff includes Certified Teachers of the Deaf and master's-level educators, and it has been recognized as a Small Organization Inspiring Workplace winner by the Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce and as 2026's "Most Inspiring" Small Business. The program also hosts events for families to connect and learn from other parents and educators, and it is supported by individuals, corporations, and foundations.

  • Parent Nights — Help families connect and learn from other parents and faculty about how to best support their deaf and hard-of-hearing children.

Supports family choice in communication modalities, including Listening and Spoken Language, American Sign Language, or a combination of both. Specialized listening and spoken language education and support for children who can benefit from these services.
