•
The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) was established in Torrance, California in 1964. AYSO Region 525 serves families in the communities of Stevenson, Carson, Skamania, North Bonneville, Mill A, and Cascade Locks. The region follows AYSO’s Everyone Plays and Balanced Teams philosophies, where each child who registers is guaranteed to play at least half of every game and all players are placed on new or “balanced” teams each season. The program uses the AYSO Safe Haven Program for Volunteer Certification, which is designed to strengthen the organization’s role in child protection. AYSO also offers a Very Important Player (VIP) program for kids and adults with special needs. Michael Karon serves as President of AYSO, and AYSO is a National Association of the United States Soccer Federation.
