Edgeworks Youth Climbing Programs and Camps – Tacoma offers rock climbing activities for kids through climbing camps, including Summer Camps, Spring Break Camps, Winter Break Camps, and a Scouts Rock Climbing Course. Edgeworks Youth Climbing Programs and Camps – Tacoma is part of Edgeworks Climbing + Fitness, which has been locally owned and operated since 2004. Stone Gardens, founded in 1995, joined Edgeworks Climbing + Fitness in October 2020, creating what the organization describes as the largest single footprint of climbing gyms in the Puget Sound, with over 65,000 square feet of climbing space across Seattle, Bellevue, and Tacoma. The Tacoma gym includes 17,000 square feet of lead and top rope climbing and a 4,300 square foot bouldering area with a top-out feature. The founder is Tod Bloxham, who is an AMGA/IFMGA Mountain Guide and industry software developer. Edgeworks states that its mission is to be the innovative leader of indoor climbing, outdoor adventure, and fitness for the active community, providing customer experiences focused on climbing and fitness that challenge and inspire an active lifestyle. The organization states that it is committed to increasing equity and inclusion across race, gender, age, religion, identity, and experience, and to building a culture where difference is valued, innovation thrives, and adventure is accessible to all, through staff engagement, community partnerships, and accessibility efforts. Edgeworks members receive a 10% discount on all camps, and scholarship opportunities are available for camps.
