Camp Director Gracee Brinkman is an Assistant Softball Coach at Whitworth University and a former standout slowpitch and fastpitch player at University High School, where she earned seven First Team All Greater Spokane League honors, two GSL MVP titles, and multiple team MVP and Most Inspirational awards. Brinkman led her fastpitch teams to two state appearances, four regional appearances, and three GSL championships, earned a softball scholarship to Central Washington University, and helped her college team to multiple conference championships and regional playoffs while receiving GNAC Scholar-Athlete awards each season. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Physical Education and School Health and Movement Studies and Secondary Education, with an endorsement in Math, and has been part of the coaching staff for a state-qualifying University High School fastpitch softball team. All staff are background checked, and staff reside in the dormitories with overnight campers and supervise campers for the entire duration of the camp.
The camp states that its summer softball camps are designed for athletes to learn, develop, and enhance their skills in all phases of softball, and that it provides the opportunity to become better softball players by hiring some of the best coaches and players in the sport today, with staff eager to help campers improve and develop into the best players possible. Since 2001, eCamps Sports Network has developed over 100,000 young athletes at camps nationwide. The camp is open to all ages and ability levels, with each camper assessed and grouped with campers of similar age and ability levels, low camper-to-coach ratios, and groups based on age and ability level, and campers have the opportunity to work with college and/or high school coaches and college players all week long. Revolution Softball Camps state that they offer expert softball training for girls of all ages.
Campers are asked to bring necessary softball equipment such as a glove, bat, helmet, cleats, and catcher’s gear if they are a catcher, along with a refillable water bottle, snack, and clothing and personal items like athletic socks, sliding pads, shorts, t-shirts, off-field clothes, hat, and sneakers. Overnight campers are also asked to bring items such as an alarm clock, pillow, blanket or sleeping bag, Twin XL bedding, pajamas, flip flops or shower shoes, sweatshirt, bathing suit and towel (TBD), spending money (no more than $50), sunscreen, toiletries, and a shower towel. Campers are allowed to bring cell phones to contact their guardians, but phones are not allowed on the field during training sessions, and campers are advised not to bring expensive personal items such as cell phones or laptops, with all personal items the responsibility of each camper and Revolution Softball and its camp staff not responsible for lost, stolen, or forgotten items.
One camper, Emily E., stated, “It was so much fun to spend part of the summer with other players who love this sport like me,” and also said, “I loved the matchplay sessions at camp! Getting to compete against other players and get feedback.”
