Revolution Softball Camps is part of the eCamps Sports Network, which has developed over 100,000 young athletes at camps nationwide since 2001. The camp director, Gracee Brinkman, is the Assistant Softball Coach at Whitworth University and the Assistant Softball Coach at Ridgeline High School, and she has previously served as Assistant Coach and Interim Head Coach at Whitworth University. She has run many camps with wide ranges of ages and abilities, led conditioning courses to build strength, endurance and prevent injuries, and was part of the coaching staff for state-qualifying University High School teams. She was a standout Slowpitch and Fastpitch player at University High School with seven First Team All–Greater Spokane League selections, two GSL MVP awards, multiple team MVP and Most Inspirational honors, and helped lead her teams to two state appearances, four regional appearances, and three GSL championships. She continued her career at Central Washington University on a softball scholarship, helping lead the Wildcats to multiple conference championships and regional playoff appearances, and earned GNAC Scholar-Athlete honors each season while graduating Summa Cum Laude in Physical Education and School Health and Movement Studies and Secondary Education with an endorsement in Mathematics. All staff are background checked, the NCAA coaching staff is pulled from top coaches in the U.S., and campers work with college and/or high school coaches and college players, with low camper-to-coach ratios and groups based on age and ability level. Overnight campers stay in dorms with staff supervision, have all-you-can-eat buffet meals, take part in entertaining evening activities, and have approximately 4–6+ hours of softball training each day, while Extended Day campers have lunch and dinner included.
The stated mission of Revolution Softball Camps is that its summer softball camps are designed for athletes to learn, develop, and enhance their skills in all phases of softball, and that the program provides the opportunity to become better softball players by hiring some of the best coaches and players in the sport today, with staff eager to help campers improve and develop into the best players possible. The daily program emphasizes sportsmanship, improvement, excellence and fun, and the core values listed are Excellence, Fun, Improvement, Safety, and Sportsmanship. Programs are offered over 4 days with options for full or half-day camp, along with overnight or extended day camp experiences, and Day & Half Day Camps typically run 9am–3pm (or 4pm) over 4 days with approximately 15–20 hours of field time. Campers are told that each camper has a chance to win prizes in camp games, and that Revolution Softball Camps offer expert softball training for girls of all ages.
Families are instructed that campers should bring all necessary softball equipment, a refillable water bottle, and a snack, along with suggested items such as glove, bat, helmet, cleats, catcher’s gear if needed, athletic socks, sliding pads, shorts, t-shirts, off-field clothes, hat, sneakers, and various overnight items like bedding, pillow, pajamas, shower shoes, sweatshirt, bathing suit and towel (TBD), toiletries, shower towel, alarm clock, and a small amount of spending money for overnight camps. Campers are allowed to bring cell phones to contact their guardians, but phones are not allowed on the field during training sessions, and campers are advised not to bring expensive personal items such as cell phones or laptops, with all personal items the responsibility of each camper and Revolution Softball and its camp staff not responsible for lost, stolen, or forgotten items.
