Urban Warriors offers martial arts, parkour, gymnastics, ninja training, group fitness, functional movement, dance, and other forms of movement. The program combines fundamental aspects from martial arts, parkour, and gymnastics, using creative challenges and courses to build physical coordination, leadership skills, and teamwork. Urban Warriors is described as a ninja training gym where the journey begins for those ready to turn it up a notch and find out what they are capable of.
• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Classes are offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with different time slots for ages 6–8, 9–12, teens, adults, and intermediate/advanced “Clans Only” groups, plus open floor sessions on Saturdays for ages 6–12 and 13+.
Urban Warriors states that it is here to build a community of movement and fun and to help children and adults find their limits and feel capable of pushing past them, with fun, challenging training and a focus on “making our best better.” The program invites families to get started with a Demo that includes a 1:1 tour of the facility, an overview of what it means to join Urban Warriors, and a chance to try warrior moves. The program is led by Christian, referred to as Commander, who has over 20 years of experience teaching children and adults how to move and is an ACE certified group fitness instructor, functional movement, and youth specialist. Christian has taught in multiple schools and community centers, including the Village Leadership Academy and Boys & Girls Club in Chicago; Guardian Art, Alta Vista School, Gateway Child Development Center, and the Family Peninsula YMCA in the San Francisco Bay Area; and several schools and community centers in the Snoqualmie Valley area.
