About
Urban Warriors offers classes that combine martial arts, parkour, gymnastics, group fitness, functional movement, and dance. The program uses creative challenges and courses that draw on these activities for fun, challenging training.
• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Class options are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays in the late afternoon, evening, and late morning, with separate time blocks for ages 6–8, 9–12, teens, adults, and intermediate/advanced “Clans Only” groups, plus open floor times for ages 6–12 and 13+.
Urban Warriors states that warriors learn the discipline and body awareness of martial arts, the creativity and environmental awareness of parkour, and the control and agility of gymnastics. The program describes itself as a community of movement and fun that combines fundamental aspects of martial arts, parkour, and gymnastics into a single program. It emphasizes fun, challenging training and uses these tools with the motto of “Making our best better!” Urban Warriors invites families to get started with a Demo that includes a 1:1 tour of the facility, an overview of what it means to join Urban Warriors, and the chance to work up a sweat and try out some warrior moves.
Christian leads the program and has over 20 years of experience teaching children and adults how to move. Christian is an ACE certified group fitness instructor, functional movement, and youth specialist. Christian has taught in multiple community settings, including the Village Leadership Academy and Boys & Girls Club in Chicago; Guardian Art, Alta Vista School, Gateway Child Development Center, and the Family Peninsula YMCA in the San Francisco Bay Area; and several schools and community centers in the Snoqualmie Valley area.
Parent testimonials describe Christian as an incredible mentor with a true passion for seeing the best in kids and making sure they learn while having fun, and note that his Urban Warriors parkour classes have been “incredible” for their children, highlighting his enthusiasm, patience, and positive attitude.
