About the provider
The program is led by Artistic Director Melanie Kirk-Stauffer. She is described as a nationally recognized dancer, choreographer, and educator, with principal roles in major ballet productions, professional performance experience with The Huntington Dance Ensemble, choreography and direction credits for Swan Lake, The Snow Queen, Les Sylphides, Back to Broadway, and The Nutcracker, scholarships to the Joffrey Ballet and San Francisco Ballet, and awards including the Margaret K. Williams Arts Award and two Awards of Excellence from the City of University Place. The program says its mission is "Uniting Art and Community through Dance, Education, and Performance."
