About

Class Cooking Gourmet Classes offers a variety of hands-on gourmet cooking experiences. Participants can learn to prepare dishes such as Spanish Paella with Chicken, Shrimp, Rice, Clams, and Mussels, Kebabs with roasted cauliflower, and Aebelskivers. Other activities include making Mussels Marinara with Spanish Chorizo, Coconut Shrimp with Pineapple Chili Sauce, and Tamales.

Class Cooking was established in 2005. The program is led by Chef Kim Mahan, who holds degrees in Fine Arts and Developmental Psychology from Portland State University and has trained at the Clark College Culinary Program. Chef Mahan has also been involved in community activities, serving as a chef for the yearly 'Our House' fundraiser for the Portland HIV/AIDS support organization for 16 years and managing the dinner part of the yearly Dinner Theater production at the Vancouver School for Arts and Academics for 5 years.
