About

Conboy Basketball offers basketball skill development through Pure Skill Camps, NW Reign travel teams, Rising Reign training, spring and summer leagues, spring break camp, summer camps, and large camps. The program also provides individual, 1 on 1, small group, team, and coach training that is based on the skill sets and needs of the participants. Training options include performance and skills training, nutritional planning, film study, yoga, and other on-court and off-court basketball development activities.

Conboy Basketball has trained over 500 college and top professional players in 10 years and has used its progressive curriculum for the past 11 years. The current team of coaches and trainers are current or past college-level players and coaches. The stated mission is to develop selfless, passionate, and tough student athletes on and off the floor, with an emphasis on making the extra pass and playing the right way.

The program is led by Matt Conboy, who is the founder and director of Team P.U.S.H basketball club and serves as lead scout and skill director for the NBA and WNBA overseas combine. He has been a camp director and trainer for Max Hoops, Driven Training, Open Gym Premier, and John Lucas Enterprises. His education background includes a 2006 Education Degree and Teaching Certification, All Academic team recognition, and placement on the Dean’s list.

Over the past decade, Matt Conboy has conducted Pure Skill Camps in more than 30 locations, including international sites, and has orchestrated multiple camps in China, Australia, the Philippines, Mexico, Canada, Poland, Hawaii, Alaska, and across the United States. He currently works with John Lucas Enterprises, Max Hoops, NBA Summer League Overseas Combine, NCAA Final Four Combine, Open Gym Premier, Ball is Life All American Camp, and several other organizations. Colleagues have officially commended him as a collaborative, passionate, and motivating leader in basketball development with a high degree of professionalism.

As a player, Matt Conboy holds Prairie High School records for most assists in a game and free throws made in a row (2001), scored over 2,000 career points at Oklahoma Wesleyan University, earned honorable mention All American recognition, and ranked 2nd in the nation in three-point field goals made per game. Program materials state that Matt can adapt and motivate at all levels from elementary to college and professional, and that he uses a holistic approach to challenge players mentally, physically, and emotionally.

One testimonial from a current college coach states that they have met few people with the knowledge or passion for skill instruction and player development that Matt Conboy has, and that he is serious about the investment young people make in trying to improve their game. Another testimonial from an administrator states a belief that if children are given the necessary tools to succeed, they will succeed beyond their wildest dreams.
