Early Childhood Camps (Preschool Age)

Gardner School of Arts & Sciences, 16413 NE 50th Ave, Vancouver, WA 98686

Gardner School's Early Childhood camps are a chance for kids to spend a week immersed in imaginative, child-driven play focused on various themes! Our classrooms are small, with a maximum of 10 enrolled campers per teacher and one to two teachers per camp session. Campers get to explore the fully enclosed "Imagination Playground" with a variety of outdoor toys and zones, and will be able to take exploratory adventures to the greater Gardner campus, including our fenced, forested wetlands and our large playing field! Camps include indoor play, outdoor play, quiet time, scheduled snack and lunch times, and a consistent daily routine that eases anxiety in the youngest campers.

Themes for Summer 2026 include:

  • July 6th-10th - Beach Camp
  • July 13-17th - Space Camp
  • July 20th-24th - Safari Camp
  • July 27th-31st - Winter in July
  • August 3rd-7th - STEM Camp

(All EC camps are stand-alone. Register for as few or as many as you like!)

Gardner's school year EC program is DCYF certified and part of Early Achievers. Our early childhood classrooms and play area are DCYF inspected and certified, and our staff is fully DCYF certified including current CPR/First Aid cards, focused training in early childhood development and safety and in-depth background checks.

Students enrolling in our early childhood camps must be 3 years old by the date of camp and fully daytime potty trained. Snacks and lunches are provided by parents; Gardner does not have a kitchen or cafeteria.

Cancellations and Refunds

If a camp for which you have paid is canceled by Gardner School for any reason, a full refund will be offered. If there is still time remaining in the summer, and we have space available in other camps, you will also be given the option to move your camper to another camp. There is no fee for this transfer.

If your plans change (as they do) and you wish to transfer to a different camp either in the same week or a different week, please contact [email protected] to make that arrangement. There is no charge for changing camps, but it is subject to availability; if the camp you want to change to is full, we will not be able to complete that change. You can choose from any still-available camps of the correct age group at that time.

If you need to cancel registration for any reason, 14 days’ notice is required for a full refund, minus a $25 administrative fee per canceled camp.

Cancellations with less than 14 days notice but more than 24 hours notice will receive a 50% refund. No refund is issued to cancellations within 24 hours of the start of camp, or for single days missed.
