The Learning Garage

The Learning Garage is a creative art studio that offers birthday parties, kids’ nights out, parent-and-me paint classes, art classes, and camps. The program creates one-of-a-kind art projects tailored to each child’s theme, and its project-based art classes use a variety of mediums.

The Learning Garage was created by Mia, who studied art and media-interaction design in Korea during both her undergraduate and graduate programs, focusing on children’s interactive experiences in museums. Mia moved to the United States from Korea in 2017, lived for three years in San Francisco, and then four years in Vancouver, Washington. At The Learning Garage, the stated mission is to provide programs that bring out everyone’s inner creativity so they can experience the endless joy of learning. The Learning Garage is described as Mia’s lifelong dream to create a space where kids want to come, feel comfortable creating things whether they succeed or make mistakes, and see their own possibilities.
