Peak Youth Camps is led by founder Davis Koester, who is a minor league hitting coach for the Texas Rangers and previously played at Pacific University, where he recorded the most relief appearances in NCAA Division III history and earned NWC first team reliever and second team utility honors. Staff members include Will Gross, Columbia High School head baseball coach and University of Puget Sound graduate who played five years of college baseball and was a two-time 1A all-state selection at Columbia High School and Team MVP at Grays Harbor; Brynn Nelson, who played at Linfield University, was a two-time All-American, NWC Player of the Year, and coach for Mariners Grand Slam Camp; and Nate Roth, a Columbia High School graduate and Trico First Team Selection. Additional staff include Ella Reed, a Columbia High School graduate who played 18U A ASA Softball; Liam McLaughlin, a Whitman College player and Columbia/Lyle High School All-League Selection; Michael Vander Borght, a Chemeketa Community College player, Stevenson High School graduate, and First Team Selection; Dan Park, a Pacific University graduate, four-year collegiate baseball player, and coach with Baseball Positive and Seattle Select Baseball; Kellen Olson, who is playing at Columbia High School; and Sarah Mason, who played at Hood River Valley and earned NOC All-League Honorable Mention. The program’s stated goal is to give families in small towns affordable baseball and softball camps that develop both knowledge and skills, where boys and girls can play and enjoy baseball and softball for the week and are given tools they need to enjoy these sports for life. Camps are offered in Hood River, The Dalles, and White Salmon from June through August.
