Peak Youth Baseball Camps offers baseball and softball camps that focus on on-field play and skill work in these sports. The program runs as 5-day camps that center on baseball and softball activities led by an experienced coaching staff.
• Ages: 6–12 years old
• Schedule: 5-day camps, Dec 29–Jan 2, 9–12 in the mornings
• Price: $180 for 5-day camps
Peak Youth Baseball Camps is led by Peak Baseball founder Davis Koester, a minor league hitting coach for the Texas Rangers who played at Pacific University and holds the record for most relief appearances in NCAA Division III history, and was an NWC first team reliever and second team utility player. Staff also includes Will Gross, Columbia High School head baseball coach and University of Puget Sound graduate, who was a 5-year college baseball player, a 2-time 1A all-state selection at Columbia High School, and a Team MVP at Grays Harbor. Coach Brynn Nelson played at Linfield University, is a 2-time All-American, an NWC Player of the Year, and a coach for Mariners Grand Slam Camp. Additional staff members include Nate Roth, a Columbia High School graduate and Trico First Team Selection; Ella Reed, a Columbia High School graduate who played 18U A ASA Softball; Liam McLaughlin, a Whitman College player and Columbia/Lyle High School All-League Selection; and Michael Vander Borght, a Chemeketa Community College player, Stevenson High School graduate, and First Team Selection. The staff also includes Dan Park, a Pacific University graduate, 4-year collegiate baseball player, and coach with Baseball Positive and Seattle Select Baseball; Kellen Olson, who is playing at Columbia High School; and Sarah Mason, who played at Hood River Valley and was an NOC All-League Honorable Mention. The stated goal of Peak Youth Baseball Camps is to give families in small towns affordable baseball and softball camps that develop both knowledge and skills, and to give boys and girls tools they need to enjoy these sports for life. The organization also runs youth baseball and softball camps in Hood River, The Dalles, White Salmon, and Forest Grove from June through August.
