Joshua’s Camp Foundation

Joshua’s Camp Foundation focuses on supporting families during their childhood cancer journey. The program centers its efforts on the whole family, with attention to siblings and children navigating childhood cancer. It creates space for parents to breathe, for siblings to be seen, and for children to feel like more than their diagnosis, while offering an environment of belonging, compassion, fun, relief, and practical resources.

Joshua’s Camp Foundation was co-founded by Cathy and John Finney in 2012, with its first programming taking place in the fall of 2012, and it stems from a wish Joshua Holm made before he lost his battle with cancer in 2008. The organization states that healing is stronger in a community and that when families feel supported, kids are better through treatment and beyond. Joshua’s Camp Corporation Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community organization. The mission of Joshua’s Camp Foundation is to support the whole family through tailored programming, create impactful relationships with families as they navigate their personal childhood cancer journey, focus on kids being kids, bring enjoyment and normalcy to the family, and bring partners and communities together. The leadership team includes Camp Director Wendy Carey, Assistant Director Katie Carey, Foundation Director of Outreach and Partnerships Andrew Cseter, Board Chair Scott Trinrud, multiple board members, and Co-Founder Cathy Finney. The organization brings partners and communities together and connects with families, partners, and communities through its staff, and its board members are affiliated with organizations including M3 Insurance, Pablo Center, Daredevil Consulting, Chippewa Valley Music Festivals, ONE Automotive Group, Stanley Boyd Schools, Raven Team, Northwestern Bank, Marshfield Clinic Foundation, Symple Real Estate, and Empower Label.
