Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp (Camp Wapo, Ox Lake, Wilderness Canoe Base) includes activities such as campfires, field games, low ropes, large-group field games, and early morning activities like vespers. At Wilderness Canoe Base, campers go on week-long canoe trips, and at Ox Lake they can use the Ox Lake Challenge Ropes Course with low ropes course elements and spend time on miles of horseback trails.

With roots dating back to 1948, Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp, Inc. has been operating for over 70 years. The organization’s mission statement is: “We inspire faith through the wonder of creation and community.” It is rooted in the love of Christ, affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), and offers programs and curriculum rooted in grace, forgiveness, love, and reconciliation. Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp, Inc. offers programs for the Twin Cities metro area and Northwest Wisconsin and welcomes and values every person, including people of color, the LGBTQIA+ community, women, minorities, and those of differing abilities and socio-economic status. The Wilderness Canoe Base site operates within the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in the Superior National Forest, and as a BWCAW Cooperator, this business is an equal opportunity service provider. The program emphasizes untangling from technology and encouraging play, and focuses on nurturing Christ-centered identity through a wilderness experience.
