Lost Creek Ranch was founded in 2000 and operates as a non profit horse rescue. It is the only horse rescue in western Wisconsin that also provides therapeutic experiences and equine-assisted therapy programs, and it works with riders of all ages and skill levels, including programs for seniors and veterans. The herd includes horses with a variety of special needs, all rescue horses find a forever home at Lost Creek Ranch, and many of these horses are paired with riders based on ability, needs, and interests. The curriculum is rooted in traditional Dressage and Western Dressage principles.

The mission of Lost Creek Ranch is “Let no heart or soul, human or equine fall through the cracks” and “to create a supportive environment where participants discover the uniquely therapeutic and healing nature of riding.” With the help of scholarships and community support, the organization makes its programs available regardless of a participant’s ability to pay, and donations support participation by vulnerable youth or teens from the community.
