• Ages: 8–13 years old
• Schedule: Iron County Summer Youth Camp runs Tuesday, July 21 – Friday, July 24, 2026, and Iron County Outpost Camp runs Tuesday, July 7 – Friday, July 10, 2026.
Iron County Summer Youth Camp is for youth in grades 3–5 from throughout Iron County to spend a week getting to know each other better, build stronger, and create new friendships. The camp creates opportunities for eighth grade and high school students to step into leadership roles and serve as role models and mentors to the youth placed in their care. Parents trust the program with planning a safe learning experience for their kids. Iron County Summer Outpost Camp is for youth in grades 6–8 to build on their leadership and teamwork skills, and campers build stronger friendships through physical challenges and a rustic camping experience. Outpost Camp is described as a great opportunity for community youth to gain independence.
The leadership team includes Neil Klemme, 4-H Youth Development Educator. Extension’s mission is to connect people with the University of Wisconsin and to teach, learn, lead and serve, transforming lives and communities. The University of Wisconsin–Madison Division of Extension provides equal opportunities in employment and programming in compliance with state and federal law.
