YMCA Camp MacLean offers activities such as campfires, canoeing, archery, hiking, swimming, sports, rock climbing, crafts, and high ropes. The program includes overnight and specialty camps, including Family Camp, Aquatics Camp, and High Adventure Camp. YMCA Camp MacLean is one of five camps of the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago.

• Schedule: Webinars from 7 to 9 p.m. CT on March 12, April 7, and May 6, with an Open House from 1 to 5 p.m. CT on April 19 and office hours Monday–Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Since 1941, children and teens have spent their summers at Camp MacLean. YMCA Camp MacLean is part of the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, which has 14 centers, five camps, and nearly 100 extension sites. The mission of YMCA Camp MacLean states that it teaches self-reliance, a love for nature, and the development of healthy practices and meaningful relationships, with activities that include campfires, canoeing, archery, hiking, and swimming. Camp MacLean provides scholarships to campers in financial need. Available resources for families include the 2026 Parent Handbook & Packing List, LIT/CIT Packing List & Backpack Camp Packing List, Health Form & Online Medical History Form, Horseback Waiver & Participant Waiver, instructions on how to upload forms, and a camp map. One parent, Jackie T., shared that “She came back smiling and very happy. She had a very good time and that is exactly what I was looking for in a camp.” Another parent, Paul R., said, “He came home with good insights and a more mature attitude and behavior. We loved what it did for him.”
