Ellsworth Basketball Association Youth Programs offers Traveling Basketball, In-House Youth Basketball, School Basketball, and the 150 Hour Club and 300 Hour Club. Traveling Basketball includes participation in 5–6 tournaments around the area, including one Ellsworth tournament. The In-House Youth Basketball Program is non-competitive, and all registrants are accepted, with all players receiving a team t-shirt.
• Ages: 6–17 years old
• Schedule: Traveling Basketball runs 6–8 weeks sometime between November and March; In-House Youth Basketball runs an 8-week session made up of a 4-week session starting in October followed by a 4-week session of scrimmages
• Price: Traveling Basketball COST: $200 (uniform included)
The In-House Youth Basketball Program is instructed by the EHS Varsity Girls and Boys coaches. The leadership team includes Kristin Helgeson (EBA President), Derek Staley (Varsity Boys Head Coach), Haylee Yaeger (Varsity Girls Head Coach), and Julie Stoltenburg (Webmaster). The mission of the Ellsworth Community Youth Rec Association site is to educate and inform the general public about non-school youth sports and activities for the Ellsworth School District Area and to encourage a safe, fun and competitive environment for children of all ages and skill levels to develop as athletes. Community involvement has included thanks to C3 Church for use of its facility for practice during the 2020–2021 season and thanks to Precision Pitching for sponsoring Ellsworth Community Youth Rec and EBA. All players in the 150 Hour Club and 300 Hour Club who meet the stated hour goals are recognized during halftime of a varsity game and receive a 150/300 hour club t-shirt. Families are told to bring adequate shoes, a water bottle, and a hard working mindset, and parents are welcome.
