Discovery Days Childcare Center includes group activities where children explore the various interest centers in their classroom. The program uses the Ascend Curriculum, which features activities in Cultural Understanding, Baby Signs, Literacy, Mathematics, and Technology, and includes small group instruction, music, story time, messy play, and quiet cuddles.

Discovery Days has been providing early childhood education and care to families since 2000. The program follows the Wisconsin Model for Early Learning Standards and uses the Ascend Curriculum to develop academic, physical, emotional, and creative skills, with teachers encouraged to individualize activities and engage in small group instruction. Childcare schedule options may include full-time, part-time, half-day, drop-in, flexible care through FlexiPass, and before and after school care, and FlexiPass gives five prepaid days of care that can be used whenever needed, subject to conditions.
The leadership team includes Danielle Palmer as School Director, Kennedy Lepore as Assistant Director, and Luz Diaz Telles, who is identified as Teacher of the Year. Luz Diaz Telles has an associate’s degree in early childhood education. The program states that even the youngest children in the infants program can benefit from the Ascend Curriculum. The mission of Discovery Days Childcare Center is to focus on children and their individual needs, follow the Wisconsin Model for Early Learning Standards to foster social and academic learning, foster early educational learning, positive social interaction, and work to achieve age appropriate milestones to prepare children for their future, and provide a nurturing and socially stimulating environment for children according to their age and individuality. The program notes that as much as children can learn within the center’s walls, they will learn an equal amount through their personal experience in the community.
