About

Kaukauna Kinder Haus, Inc. is a childcare and learning center that focuses on encouraging children’s physical, intellectual, and social development through a variety of activities. In each classroom from infants to pre-kindergarten, teachers provide an environment and experiences from which children learn and grow.

• Ages: 0–13 years old
• Schedule: Open Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Kaukauna Kinder Haus, Inc. has been open since 1990 and was started for children by teachers. It is a licensed group daycare center and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors, which is responsible for the policies and financial aspects of the child care center. The Center’s Executive Director works closely with the board in an advisory capacity, and a monthly Board of Directors meeting is held every 4th Monday of the month, open to the public from 5:45 PM to 6:15 PM. The program describes itself as family oriented, where everyone knows everyone, and notes that many families have been with the center for years, with most children starting as infants or toddlers and going through the whole center. The center reports longevity of staff, with some teachers having been with the center for over 20 years, and tours can be set up with the director.

The leadership team includes Sarah Doubeck as Center Director; Michelle Nackers and Sammy Vander-Zanden as Lead Teachers in the Tadpole Room for ages 0 to 12 months; Kayla Kron as Lead Teacher in the Minnow Room for ages 12 to 18 months; Amanda Grage as Lead Teacher in the Otter Room for ages 18 months to 2 years; Ann Hacker and McKenzie Mueller as Lead Teachers in the Frog Room for ages 2 to 3 years; Jade Dempsey as Lead Teacher in the Dragonfly Room for ages 3 to 4 years; and Kayla Siegel as Lead Teacher in the Turtle Room and School Age Program Lead for ages 4 to 13 years. Additional staff include Trinity Wilber, Elizabeth Huss, and Rita Jakl as floaters, and Betty Radtke as cook. The program states that it provides top-quality care to children and youth from infancy through age 13 in a fun, nurturing, age-appropriate environment, and that it specializes in encouraging physical, intellectual, and social development through a variety of activities. It also notes that it treasures the opportunity to share in different stages of development as children learn, discover, and grow, and that it identifies as a “#1 family-friendly center.” The center maintains an Amazon Wishlist for donating items and indicates that it is hiring and provides an application link.
