Growing Green Child Development Center

Growing Green Child Development Center offers nature play, sensory play with sand and water, gardening, creative arts, and music. The program uses a high quality natural environment and combines learning with an environmental component that promotes the health and safety of children while also protecting the resources of the planet. It is an environmentally friendly, eco-healthy early childhood learning center in a state of the art facility that has stayed away from traditional institutional settings so that children can experience warmth and comfort similar to being at home.

Growing Green Child Development Center is based on educational principles that allow each child to develop to their fullest potential and focuses on the “whole child,” addressing and supporting both mind and body. The program encourages children to explore their many intelligences through nature play, sensory play with sand and water, gardening, creative arts, and music, and encourages every child to grow in their understanding of a diverse world. Its stated goals are to help each child achieve intellectual growth and stimulation, build and maintain positive self-worth, become socially well adjusted, develop a sense of values and respect for self, others, and Mother Earth, and attain physical stamina and good health habits. The staff value family relationships, want to act as a support system for each family, and will do their best to maintain strong home-to-center communication. Growing Green Child Development Center is NAC accredited and has received a 5-star YoungStar rating, and the program states that it looks forward to serving and growing the community.
