The Academy offers hands-on activities along with both structured play times and free play times. The daily routine also includes mealtimes as part of the program schedule.
• Ages: 6 weeks–13 years old
• Schedule: Open Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–5:30 pm
The Academy is an Early Childhood educational program offered through SAFE Haven of Racine. The learning environment, activities, and daily schedule engage spiritual, social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative development. The curriculum includes lessons inspired by Science, Language, Reading, Math, and Theology, and uses a cross-sectional teaching approach that gives every student an important role in creating their learning environment. The program’s first stated goal is to offer a child-centered curriculum that allows students to develop their God-given potential, its second goal is to promote curiosity which will lead to developmental, cognitive and spiritual understanding and growth, and its ultimate goal is to create a love of learning. The Academy is licensed to care for children 6 weeks old through 13 years of age.
