About
YMCA Camp Manitou is an overnight camp where campers take part in swimming, boating, and large group games. Campers have access to swimming and boating every day, with swim areas organized by skill level and supervised by a Waterfront Director and a team of lifeguards. The waterfront uses a buddy system with buddy checks every 5 minutes and a colored band system based on swimming abilities determined by a swim check at the beginning of every session, and campers are allowed to retest their swimming level throughout the week.

Counselors are trained to supervise campers’ needs, including making sure campers wear sunscreen and bug spray and drink enough water. Brian Moore serves as Camp Director.
