Mad Science of Milwaukee is part of a global enrichment company that has been in business for over 30 years, with over 150 locations in more than 20 countries. Mad Science was founded in 1985 in Montreal, Canada, by brothers Ariel and Ron Shlien, and has been in the Milwaukee area since 2001. The organization describes itself as a leading science enrichment provider for children pre-school age through grade school, using an inquiry-based learning approach with unique, hands-on science experiences that are described as as fun and entertaining as they are educational. Children participate in experiments with a certified Mad Scientist and discover the spectacular side of science as they have fun with physics and witness chemical reactions. The mission of Mad Science of Milwaukee is to inspire children through science, sparking lifelong imagination and curiosity. Its workshops are curriculum correlated to state and provincial standards and are compatible with ESSR, EANS, and other funds that aim to help students bounce back from the effects the COVID-19 pandemic has had on their learning.
