NRICH Tutoring offers services online or in person, including one-to-one tutoring where a tutor works exclusively with one student during their session. Online learning is done through secure Zoom meetings using interactive technologies, and online students can be from any part of the United States. The program specializes in helping students with dyslexia using the Science of Reading and helps kids with math to reduce anxiety and build number sense. A free 15–30 minute consultation is available by phone, email, Zoom, or in person, and evaluations are for internal use and are not for diagnosis of any learning disability. Private tutoring spaces have windows for parents to check on their student, each space has resources to engage learners and room to move around, and fidgets and ball or wobbly chairs are available if needed. Each student has their own supplies kept in their own bin, and the waiting room doubles as a small group space for special classes with up to 6 students. Online tutoring is described as saving time and money.

NRICH Tutoring is led by Dr. Judie Harrington, who is referred to as Dr. Judie and Dr. Harrington. The mission statement for NRICH Tutoring states that it is an online and in-person tutoring service that enriches and empowers learners through research-based strategies, lessons, and activities, with a goal of helping struggling students become stronger students, and that its resources assist parents in helping their children grow to love learning. Locally, students come from across St. Croix, Polk, and Pierce counties, as well as the Twin Cities. One parent of a 4th grader reports that Dr. Harrington has been working with her son and helping him learn to read with various methods to keep him engaged, and that she cares about helping kids succeed.
