About
Northstar Early Learning Center uses the Pinnacle Curriculum, a nationally recognized, developmentally appropriate program that exceeds state standards. The program uses this curriculum from infancy, with proven curriculum and intentional routines that focus on eight key areas of growth, including social-emotional development, critical thinking, language, creativity, and physical health. Families receive daily messaging and updates, and the program offers real-time video access through WatchMeGrow, along with nutritious, balanced meals made from scratch.
• Ages: 6 weeks–5 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6am–6pm
• Price: Northstar tuition is intentionally priced below the regional average while maintaining exceptional standards. They also offer sibling discounts, vacation credits, and participate in county childcare assistance programs.
Northstar Early Learning Center serves families with programs for infants (6 weeks–16 months), toddlers (16–33 months), and preschool children (33 months–5 years). Teachers receive ongoing training, continuing education, coaching, and leadership opportunities, and act as strong role models. The program maintains high standards in cleanliness, licensing, and care with regular audits, coaching, and clear policies. The mission of Northstar Early Learning Center states that it is an early learning center, not a daycare, and that everything they do is centered on preparing children for lifelong success through rich educational experiences.
The leadership team includes School Director Emilee Klungtvedt, with Alicia Hoag associated with Hudson Center leadership and Christi Flodin associated with the email address [email protected]. Northstar is proud to serve two welcoming communities with the same standard of care, curriculum, and connection.
Parent feedback includes comments that teachers genuinely love the children and that one parent never questioned whether her daughter was in the right place. Other parents report strong communication, including support with potty training and social skills, and describe children who are excited to go to school, come home singing songs, talk about letters, and help set the table.
