Kids R Us University offers day care, wrap-around care, and summer school-age programs. The program uses implemented curriculum and developmental tracking, and classes are split by age group so children are with peers who need the same level of care and attention. Children receive well-balanced meals each day that include protein, fruit, and a vegetable, and meals are made by staff, focus on being nutritious, and are USDA approved through the Child and Adult Food Program.

Kids R Us University was founded in 2009 and began as one location serving 30 children in the Marinette area before expanding to four locations in Marinette, Peshtigo, and Menominee that now serve more than 250 children. It is an early childhood education center in Marinette and Menominee counties that focuses on the developmental needs of each student and provides services in early learning, health, and family well-being. Age groups include infants, 1 year, 2 years, 2.5 years, preschool (3 to 5 years), and school-age (5 to 12 years), and some locations offer daycare programs for children aged 6 weeks to 13 years old.
The program is licensed through the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families and is regularly inspected to ensure programs and facilities meet licensing standards. Programs follow the Wisconsin Model of Early Learning Standards and the School-Age Curricular Framework. The curriculum enhances language skills, literacy, and concept development while encouraging social skills and positive emotional well-being.
Kids R Us University offers wrap-around care options for families that need care before and after school, helps arrange transportation to and from school as needed, and offers care for school closures, spring break, and winter break. It also offers school-age summer care for children 4 and older at 3036 Carney Avenue in Marinette. The program offers a full-day Head Start program and Early Head Start at the Hall Avenue location, and the Head Start program is free to qualifying low income families. Head Start provides a safe, nurturing environment, highly qualified teachers, and implemented curriculum, and focuses on school readiness, health, nutrition, and family involvement.
The mission of Kids R Us University is to provide a purposeful learning environment by inspiring children, collaborating with schools, and providing families with consistency, convenience, and quality programming. The leadership team includes Executive Director/Owner Michelle Peters and Directors Kendra Kelly, Brianna Davis, and Lileana Thoune. Kids R Us University is a collaborative partner with family and child learning centers of northeast Wisconsin.
