Columbus Area Youth Soccer Organization (CAYSO) offers youth soccer, including participation in MAYSA soccer leagues and younger programs focused on basic soccer skills. The program focuses on equal playing time regardless of skill or score.
• Ages: 7–17 years old
• Schedule: Fall 2026 registration is open, with a registration deadline of July 2; fall game schedules for MAYSA teams will be published.
Columbus Area Youth Soccer Organization (CAYSO) is a Columbus-based non-profit that provides Columbus area youth access to the MAYSA soccer leagues and younger programs focused on basic soccer skills. The organization’s mission states that the focus remains on equal playing time regardless of skill or score. CAYSO calendars can be added to a Google (Gmail, Android, etc.) Services account so that updates flow through automatically.
The leadership team includes Cory Schissel (President and coach), Paul Genco (Founder), Jason Schluter (Treasurer and U14 Coed coach), Stacy Mott (Secretary), Nora Vieau (District Representative and coach), Emily Martin (Fundraising Specialist), Lezley Lenz (Registrar and Equipment Manager), and Troy Tadych (Website and coach). Coach Paul started Whole Body Strong in 2012 to help instruct youth soccer in and around Columbus.
