KODA Camp Midwest offers activities such as capture-the-flag and arts & crafts as part of its summer camp programming. The camp is dedicated to KODAs (Kids of Deaf Adults) and is run by CODAs (Children of Deaf Adults). The program limits attendance specifically to KODAs and is surrounded in nature.

• Schedule: Teens (ages 13–16) 2 week session; Youth (ages 10–12) 2 week session; Kids (ages 7–9) 1 week session

KODA Camp Midwest has been in operation for 18 years and runs 5 weeks of programming each summer. The camp focuses on identity and understanding Deaf culture and is operated by KODA Midwest, a 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit organization. The organization announces dates for the following summer in September or October and offers a cash free camp experience, a cell phone policy, health and safety policies, and counselor training.

KODA Camp Midwest provides scholarships and financial assistance options, including an Adopt-A-Camper program, individual fundraising ideas for campers, a Day of KODA Camp fundraiser, a Bagels that Give Back fundraiser, and a Signing Slam fundraiser. Over 665 campers have attended KODA Camp Midwest.

Parents and campers have shared that KODA Camp Midwest has enhanced their sense of belonging and connection with other KODAs and the Deaf community. Testimonials describe campers feeling more comfortable and proud to be KODAs, more involved in the Deaf community and ASL, and experiencing closer relationships with their Deaf or DeafBlind parents. Parents also report their children gaining a sense of place where others share similar experiences and KODA culture.
