Kinni River Farm School offers farm animal interaction, classes, and experiences that include a craft portion of the Farm School. The program also connects families with fishing, kayak rentals, fishing gear rentals, and guide services through its outfitter offerings.

• Schedule: Drop-off Farm Camp program on Thursdays in June, July, and August
Kinni River Farm School is based out of Alexa’s family farm, Green Pastures Family Farm, which is a 1800’s historic riverfront farm on the banks of the upper Kinnickinnic River. Registration for the 2026 season is now open, with both a drop-off Farm Camp program and a parent-accompanied Farm School program planned for 2026, and each week has a special theme and educational component geared to children ages 0–9. The leadership team includes Alexa Eickschen, Maya Shelton, Theresa Mischo, and Emma Washington, and Emma Washington is one of the leaders for the Farm Camp drop-off program on Thursdays in June, July, and August. Maya Shelton attended UWRF to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and completed her Doctorate in Chiropractic at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN. Kinni River Farm School states its mission as connecting families to outdoor education through farm animal interaction, classes, and experiences, and it aims to provide more outdoor education options for the River Falls and surrounding area.
