Camp Timbertop is a Wisconsin overnight summer camp program designed for kids that think and learn differently, including youth with learning disabilities and special needs. Youth campers have been identified by their school district as needing extra help for a learning disability or special need, including OHI, ADHD, ADD, LD, SLD, and Dyslexia. Students receiving support services such as Leveled Learning Intervention (LLI), Reading and Math Support, and Title 1 are also eligible. Activities are designed to enhance cooperative abilities and interpersonal relationships, with an emphasis on building self-esteem and how to make and keep friends. The camp setting is described as a community of caring adults where youth and teens learn about the environment, develop positive values, make meaningful friendships, build positive peer relationships, learn new skills, increase self-confidence, and learn to understand their learning disabilities.

Camp Timbertop, Inc. was founded in 1967 and is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors. Camp Timbertop, Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Volunteers and staff are selected for their leadership skills and their ability to provide a meaningful and safe camp experience for youth with learning disabilities, and they have an understanding of youth with special needs and the unique potential of each child.
