Fort Littlegreen Youth Camp & Nature Center was established as a non-profit in 2013, and its before and after school program, along with the summer camp, has been serving the children of Stoughton since 2009. The mission of the program is to create an atmosphere where youth of all abilities can learn and thrive in the magic of nature in an outdoor-based camp experience, focusing on cultivating compassion, character, and community through organic growing, animal education, empathy, mentorship, leadership, and fun, and encouraging exploration of the environment and the natural world. Fort Littlegreen is dedicated to showing youth and the community the wonders of growing food, small animal care, and preserving nature. It is a non-profit 501(c)3 youth camp and educational growing center with a nature-based alternative to daycare for grade school children, a before and after school program, and a summer camp, with all animals meant for children to interact with, care for, and learn from. The program has been voted one of America’s Best Summer Camps in the nation and made the top 90 Best Camps in the nation.
