Choo Choo ChildCare is a state licensed child care program that offers before and after school care for school age children, wrap-around care for 4-year-old kindergarten, a full day child care program for 3-year-olds, and a half day preschool. During the summer, its Kid’s Club programs offer full day child care for children ages 3–12.

Over the past 30 years, Joyce Thornton developed and operated Joyce’s Preschool, Kid’s Club, Polliwogs and Caterpillars, and the Kid’s Stuff Child Care Centers, and she passed her experience and knowledge to her son, Rob Thornton. The Kid’s Club program began in 1997 at Bristol Elementary School, and in 2004 Rob established Choo Choo ChildCare, Ltd. Choo Choo ChildCare expanded the Kid’s Club programs to Wheatland Center School in 2006, to Salem Grade School and Riverview School in 2008, to Trevor-Wilmot Elementary School in 2012, to Randall Elementary School in 2014, and as of 2017 also offers care at Brighton Elementary School. Rob has worked in the education field for the past 20 years, has held roles as assistant child care teacher, lead teacher, child care director, and child care administrator, and has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin Parkside with a Teaching License for Grades 1–9.
The stated purpose of Choo Choo ChildCare is to provide children with care in a safe and warm environment while their parents are at work or tending to other personal business, and to do this by providing a relaxed atmosphere where children are free to do many different educational and diverse activities. Choo Choo ChildCare is a state licensed child care program.
