Little Tree Kinderhaus includes daily activities such as singing, playing, creating, working, learning, cooking, walking in the woods, and celebrating the rhythms of the days, seasons, and years. Children spend time climbing trees, walking the woods, moving together in circle, taking walks throughout the neighborhood, and observing the sights of nature and life in the community. The program also includes story, puppetry, plays, craft, song, sharing meals, and laughter as part of the children’s time together.
Little Tree Kinderhaus is a nature based school and a state licensed family in home care facility. It is owned, administered, and taught by Tracy Mangold at the Little Tree Kinderhaus school. The teacher holds a degree in Special Education and training in Waldorf Teaching and has been teaching for nearly 30 years in early childhood and elementary school settings, including Day Care, Public and Private, Montessori, and Waldorf classrooms. Little Tree Kinderhaus was lovingly opened 13 years ago and has continued for over 13 years. Children at Little Tree Kinderhaus play in three wooded areas that they have come to love and care for, climb trees, walk the woods, move together in circle, and ground firmly in their physical selves upon this earth. The program includes steady rhythms that guide daily transitions, and children learn to communicate and negotiate play in kind meaningful ways, connecting and caring for self and the group. Time at Little Tree Kinderhaus is spent together as a family sharing meals, laughter, and daily lessons as growing human beings.
