About

HAWS Summer Camps offer a Summer Camp experience focused on exploring the world of animals. The program takes place within an organization that works with animals through adoptions, education, and veterinary care.

• Ages: 7–13 years old

Since 1965, the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County has been a community-based organization that assists animals and the people who care about them. Its mission is to lead the community in animal welfare and assure sanctuary for animals in need. HAWS’ professional and certified instructors work with owners and their pets to create a foundation of good behavior. The organization is an open-admission, no-kill shelter that focuses on strengthening relationships between animals and humans through adoptions and education. HAWS’ education department offers programs for all ages that focus on compassion for living things, and its medical team supports shelter and community animals through spay-neuter and life-saving surgical procedures. HAWS also offers ways to get involved through volunteering and events, including hosting or attending over 160 events each year.
