Brilliant Beginnings offers activities such as book clubs, field trips, and a Sweethearts Dance. The program also includes after school care, special spring and winter break events, and a full-time summer camp for kids up to age 11. Brilliant Beginnings works with children from six weeks to ten years and offers a curriculum for 4-year-olds that focuses on early literacy, science, arts, math, and more. The program uses a holistic approach to helping kids become their best selves and provides space for children to explore their world uninterrupted, with a very high teacher-to-student ratio. Parent communication is encouraged both digitally and in person.
The indoor and outdoor spaces are educational and engaging, with bright open areas filled thoughtfully with high quality educational materials. Classrooms are thoughtfully designed using the Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale (ECERS) and Infant/Toddler Environmental Rating Scale (ITERS), and the curriculum is guided by the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS).
The teachers at Brilliant Beginnings are educated and highly trained. The leadership team includes Ms. Stephanie (Owner), Ms. Ashley (Administrator/Director), and Ms. Madison (Director), and Travis and Stephanie Clary joined the Brilliant Beginnings family in June of 2023. The stated mission is to help parents raise passionate, independent, and happy children.
The program describes itself as a community of teachers and parents working to inspire the lifelong love of learning in Waunakee’s children. One parent, Trudi, shares that her son Luke loves Brilliant Beginnings, and she notes that the owner and director have been extremely helpful and personable, his 4K and wrap-around care teachers make learning fun, and that she is very happy with the food and facility overall.
