ATA Martial Arts - Songahm Taekwondo offers training in Songahm Taekwondo, martial arts, and self defense. The program follows a traditional, progressive, high-energy curriculum led by certified instructors. It is part of a larger network of licensed ATA locations around the globe.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
Since ATA’s inception in 1969, over one million students have trained in its programs, and over 130,000 active members train and compete in seminars and tournaments around the world. Kids ages 4–6 attend fun classes that include activities to improve listening skills, build confidence for a boost in self-esteem, and foster self-discipline and good behavior. Kids ages 7–12 participate in classes that boost socialization skills, encourage physical activity, teach them to set and accomplish goals, and promote non-violent conflict resolution. Teens and adults can join with no prior experience to learn empowering self defense, get moving and stay in shape, relieve stress, and sharpen focus.
Each instructor is a graduate of an intensive certification process that represents more than fifty years of ongoing curriculum research and development. ATA International states that its focus is to provide students with a high-quality martial arts curriculum in a fun and positive learning environment that people of all ages and abilities can enjoy.
