About
Alta Climbing Youth Programs include climbing classes for kids as young as 3, Alta Academy to prepare for the Recreation and Competitive Teams, and Recreational Teams. Older youth can participate in Alta’s Climbing Team (USA Climbing), weeklong summer camps, and weeklong winter camps that correlate with school breaks.

Alta Climbing Youth Programs are part of a 30,000+ SQFT climbing and fitness facility that includes route, lead, speed, and bouldering walls, a Moon & Tension board training area, a dedicated climbing team training area, an Olympic sized 15-meter competition speed wall, a fitness center with free weights and cardio machines, a large yoga studio and group fitness room, and an indoor cycle studio. Within the kids’ zone there are routes up to 40 feet tall and many auto belays. Free climbing gear rental on the first visit is available with newsletter signup. All fitness classes are led by certified instructors.
Alta Climbing’s leadership team includes four of the ten Eaves children: Eric, Pam, Deborah, and Paul, who have combined forces to build ALTA. Deborah is a mother, gym owner, and Registered Nurse, and Pam is a mom, gym owner, and freelance herbalist. The Eaves family started rock climbing at Rock Canyon in Provo, Utah more than 30 years ago. Alta Climbing’s mission statement is “Helping you become better!” and its core values are built on Community and Family, Adventure, Education, Life Balance, and Giving Back. Alta Climbing states that it hopes to help members become better climbers, stronger people, more adventurous, more educated, more balanced, and happier, while having more fun than ever before, and that it aims to foster a love of rock climbing and unity in both families and the community. Alta Climbing’s core values include Giving Back and fostering unity in both families and the community.
