Salvation Army Summer Camp offers adventure and scouting, arts and crafts, music development, and sports as part of its daily program. It also reports having more no-fee residential treatment facilities than any rehab program in America and helping equip more than 150,000 people each year to overcome alcohol and drug dependence. When goods are donated to The Salvation Army, those items are sold at Family Stores, and the proceeds are used to fund Adult Rehabilitation Centers.
The Salvation Army describes itself as an international movement and an evangelical part of the Universal Christian Church.
