Kingman's Healing Hooves Equine Assisted Therapy Programs and Horsemanship Academy is managed by Kassie Schuerr (CEO/Director/Instructor) and Lindsey Schuerr (Education Director/Instructor). The facility has certified instructors, CHA Certified Instructors, and staff with current FBI background checks, and uses Certified Therapy/Lesson Horses. It is a 501(c) 3 facility with 12 horses and 1 miniature Zebu bull, a specially designed ramp with an automated hoist system and specially fabricated saddles for wheelchair dependent clients, and an updated camera security system. The mission states that the program serves children and adults with life-threatening illnesses, chronic pain disorders, disabilities, PTSD, children of poverty/low income families, and able body riders through Equine-Assisted Activities, Therapies, and safe horsemanship lessons. The program describes itself as Mohave County's Premier Equine Facility, the home of equine therapists that have and continue to change lives, and notes that it does not offer trail rides, horses for hourly hire, or boarding. It offers individual programs designed to foster self-esteem, respect, horsemanship skills, and principles of kindness, responsibility and care for all animals, and describes the environment as a safe place free of judgement, a social outlet for making new friendships, and a setting for building confidence in victims of bullying, sexual and/or mental abuse. The organization notes School outreach programs to local schools, field trips to the facility, and Out-Reach S.T.E.M. to schools, and states that it is thankful to The Home Depot Orange Magazine and Common Giant Productions for telling their story. The program notes 14 Years Serving the Community in 2024, 13 Years in 2023, 12 Years in 2022, 11 Years in 2021, 10 Years in 2020, and 9 Years in 2019.
