About

The Junior Golf Association of Arizona runs junior golf events throughout the year, including multi-day tournaments and special competitions. Recent events have included the 2026 Generous Game Classic, the 2025 Winter Classic, the Holiday Challenge by Mass Mutual – Arizona, and the 7th Annual JGAA Desert Mountain Drive. The program also connects with younger children through the 2026 ITTY BITTY OPEN, a free event that introduces kids ages 3–5 to golf.

The 2026 Generous Game Classic kicked off the new JGAA season with more than 300 junior golfers ages 8–18 competing in five age groups at Raven. The 2025 Winter Classic wrapped up December 6–7 with junior golfers ages 8–18 competing in five age groups at Sun City South and Grandview Golf Club. The final event on the 2025 calendar, the Holiday Challenge by Mass Mutual – Arizona, took place Monday, December 22 and featured 72 boys and 40 girls in an 18-hole, two-person event. The 7th Annual JGAA Desert Mountain Drive teed off on Saturday, December 13 at Desert Mountain – Seven. Arizona Golf House is the new official home of the Junior Golf Association of Arizona.

The leadership team includes Executive Director Scott McNevin, Assistant Executive Director Frank Calvin, Tournament Director Mckenzie O'Brien, Office Assistant Christen Decof, Tournament Assistants Frank Krivas, Grace Garner, and Jason Jones, Communications Assistant Campbell Leid, Photography & Social Media Intern Jacob Ribeiro, Operations Interns Arianna Tammaro and Bryce Larkin, and Director of LPGA*USGA Girls Golf of Phoenix Cori Matheson. National Scouting Report and the Junior Golf Association of Arizona have joined together to give JGAA golf athletes and families access to college recruiting tools, recruiting education, and SAT/ACT guidance.
