About
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley After School Program includes meals, tutoring, sports, interactive games, homework help, and other activities. The program also offers education programs with a daily academic enrichment activity and daily physical activity. Older youth in the program have access to career pathway and workforce readiness learning and internship opportunities.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: After school programming from 3pm–7pm
• Price: At just $40–$80 per month during the school year (including snacks and a hot, nutritious dinner at no additional cost)
For 75 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley has been creating equity and opportunity for youth. The organization offers affordable after-school and summer programs for more than 20,000 young people in grades K–12 and is the largest childcare provider in the Valley. Programs are organized around four Priority Outcomes: Academic Success, Good Character & Leadership, Healthy Lifestyles, and Career Pathways & Workforce Readiness, and they stay open until 7 pm. During the school year, snacks and a hot, nutritious dinner are included at no additional cost.
The program is led by Marcia Mintz, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley, and staffed by caring, professional, well-trained staff. Ross Stores and the Ross Stores Foundation are longtime partners of Boys & Girls Clubs of America and national sponsors of Power Hour, an after-school homework help and learning program. Power Hour is an after-school homework help and learning program nationally sponsored by Ross.
