Arizona Burn Foundation Camps & Retreats (including Camp Courage) includes activities such as horseback riding, mountain biking, swimming, arts and crafts, tie-dye, high ropes, rappelling, a challenge course, archery, and evening games and activities. Some campers also take part in therapeutic equine sessions. Each camp includes targeted survivor group sessions, activities, and experiences for burn survivors.

Arizona Burn Foundation has been serving the Grand Canyon State and its residents since 1967. Ever since 1967, Arizona Burn Foundation has collaborated with organizations, communities, medical professionals, burn centers, and hospitals across the state to ensure that anyone who suffers a burn injury receives the highest standard of care and assistance. Arizona Burn Foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life for burn survivors and their families in Arizona, while promoting burn prevention advocacy and education. Camp Courage has provided a safe, supportive environment for children who have experienced severe burn injuries since 1991, and Camp Courage is a free, therapeutic camp designed to foster healing, confidence, and connection. One camp is designed for burn survivors age 0–6 and their families to better understand and heal physically, emotionally, and socially after a burn injury; another is a weekend getaway for burn survivors age 18–25 to network with other young adults, enjoy breakout sessions with relevant topics, and have fun. Additional camps are designed for burn survivors age 21+ and their significant others to enjoy a weekend getaway together while strengthening and supporting their connection, and for burn survivors age 26+ to connect with other survivors in a safe environment with breakout sessions. A week in Prescott, AZ is offered for burn survivors age 6–19 to build courage as they connect with other survivors through various activities. All volunteers receive professional development, team building, and training sessions to prepare for working with burn survivors.
